Today was a day for waterproof mascara! THANKFUL for all the ways God works to make me feel Loved!!!
Yesterday was rough all around...but then I received this e-mail that made my day! It was exactly what I needed to hear.
Then when I came home I noticed this nice note written in the snow...family sure knows how to make me feel special!
Finally, my niece called to say she is super excited to see me tomorrow and would like to go to the zoo...well okay then :). #joy365journey #niecetime

You know when you have those days where nothing seems to go right? That was today for me. I was finding it so hard to find what I was really Thankful for...and it didn't hit me till today. I am THANKFUL for the rough days...because I know God is still working in me and without them I wouldn't have day's like #30!!!!

We made up our Garage Middle School Girls night from January 7th because it was in the negatives....funny our makeup date was as well.
Soooo THANKFUL that God reminds us that we are beautiful because I so regularly let the world tell me different. The time with the girls where I asked them how they feel God made them beautiful... is super hard and really had them thinking about themselves. I made them tell me at least three ways. Urgh so hard even for me but such a good exercise!!!!

Love this movie but more importantly the title. So unsure and so sure at the same time. That is usually me...so confident, then second guessing. Thankful that I have a God that never changes... He is definitely the same and that is something I can be sure of!

What an amazing day! A long tiring day but amazing!!!
Leigh Ann and I taught our first week of Galatians to over 30 ladies at Grace this morning! The women are amazing and so many new faces!! Thankful for the ladies and their desire to dig deeper and allow God to transform their lives!!
Pastor Jeff had a great message to share with us on visionary leading at The Bath Leadership Summit. My day ended coming home at 9pm to my driveway snow blown...I had to shovel my drive on Saturday because my snow blower was broken. Thankful for my Daddy-O who came over and fixed my snow blower and THEN did my driveway today!!!

We got a lot of snow today about 6 inches... while I miss my blizzak tires I am so THANKFUL for my touring affinities they are pretty good tires! :)
I was able to make it to Lock 3 as our group was going ice skating. We had a great time. I fell twice...after doing several spins. We ended up having the rink to ourselves after a group of 30 from Ontario left.

Day #24
Tonight I went to my first Cavs game in several years. I got my mom 4 tickets for Christmas. We went to dinner before hand at the Lizard and then enjoyed watching the Cavs plow over the Bucks!! Love the time we can spend together cheering on our Cleveland teams!

Day #23 Yesterday I went to Ann Taylor loft and had an internal argument that I didn't need to buy more clothes...I tried on at least 15 different shirts and they all looked terrible! Thankful when I am not strong enough to resist that God makes it easy on me!!! #joyin365journey

Today a little girl probably about 2 and a half years old stopped in Target held out her arms at me and said, "Grannnyyy".
At first I was a little offended as I don't think I look that old...I know I am turning the big 35 this year but come on....
And then it hit me why is this a bad thing.?? when I think of my Grandmas I have sweet thoughts! I am thankful for my grandmas who love me to the moon and back...so in turn I take it as a compliment that this little girl thought I was her grandma! #joyin365journey. #couldbethehat #granny

By late afternoon I wanted to do anything other than run/workout. But I am thankful for the constant array of encouragement to keep on running. It is not about losing weight it is about being healthy. So, to keep up the motivation... I signed up for my first 5k run of 2014...in April, the color run!!

Thankful for the phone call from my niece. There is something about how a 4 year old processes that amazes me. For Brianna's birthday/Christmas I got her tumbling classes at west side gymnastics. Last night was her first night. After class she called me to thank me and to chat. She was a little bummed that class wasn't like her birthday party but her friend Lindsey is in her class.
"Kristin tell me about your day, how was work?". So, I told her it was stressful and I had a meeting with my boss. "Oh, you want to come over for dinner and have spaghetti?" Thankful for her heart!!!...and thankful for her call!

So blessed that my life group/family loves each other, and their Gluten-free friends.  Had a party for the Brady vs. Manning show down...and everyone brought something gluten-free.

Today I got to meet with a dear friend...I love that we can get together for several hours and just spill out our hearts.  She recently lost her father, which I can't even begin to comprehend what she is going through.  But to see God working in the last few weeks of his life and to see Him working now is amazing.  She got me thinking...recently a question was asked, "What one treasure would you like to find at a yard sale?"  My original answer was some old commentaries/bibles with someone's old notes...but after talking to my friend it would be awesome to find someone's old love letters.  Yep, it would be great to find old love letters.

Day #17 Yep, received this text at 6:47am and it made my entire day. I haven't seen the girl I used to mentor on a weekly basis for almost 3 months :( I miss her dearly but I left the ball in her court. Thankful she still wants to get together... and she remembers me ;-)

Day#16
Thankful for the quiet evening. Tonight I spent the evening in my new favorite book Galatians. I am co-teaching a class at church in a few weeks and still have some prep work. But I also spent some time prepping for my niece tomorrow. I made broccoli cheese soup and gluten free bread for grilled cheese. I will say that I am surprised it looks this good. I forgot to add the yeast and had to go back and add it to the dough....only realized when the dough wasn't rising...whoops. Thankful I didn't waste it!!! I can't wait to eat a grilled cheese with my niece tomorrow!

Day #15

Things have been super stressful at work of the 50 people in my area I am not sure any of them are actually happy.  Most are worried about their job and what the next day may bring, a several of us are overworked and just tired...So, today my co-worker declared "I hate my job I am going shopping"   Frustrating when good people are so stressed.  Heidi and I have been talking about blazers.  Well, she texted me that target had a blazer on clearance... She ended up coming back to work with it in my size and the color that I wanted.  I had my own personal shopper for the day...and I had another co-worker, Laura offer to pick up my favorite yogurt that is on sale at Acme, which I do not frequent.  I am blessed that my co-workers are constantly looking out for me. 
I love this bible verse because it is a great reminder especially with the work situation that we can not fear the future, God is in control and He has given/clothed us the strength that we need for the day!!!

I take a lot of family photos throught out all our family adventures.  In November I start putting together the family Calendar and fall hiking album to give as Christmas gifts.  But all throughout the year when I say it is time to capture the moment I hear sighs and "not another one", or "please no more photos".  :-(  Like in the photo above I am always the last in the photo after setting the itmer and I always look a little on edge, probably because I am not a real photographer!!!  So yesterday, was our family photo shoot...professionally done.  I am so thankful for my brother & sister-in-law who arranged the whole thing because it is not easy to get everyone on the same page and not complaining.  I didn't have to worry about a thing, and that is a nice thing!  #joyin265journey  #photobomb #flopsincs

Day#11 After a long day of meetings and church... I had a long night planned for cleaning the house before the big party....I am thankful for chick-fil-a and their gluten free options...I was able to refuel for the long evening :-)

Day #10 Papcun/ Opsincs Christmas dinner! Talk about a long journey...My Dad met "Uncle Johnny" in his fraternity during college and a bond was formed....our family's have grown together over the years and we often have daddy daughter double dates! Laughter is ALWAYS present when we get together! Through sickness and family members passing to numerous trips to Hilton Head, clambakes, and Sarah's vineyard evenings we have done it together. Day #9 So thankful for my friend Pat...she is always texting me to see how I am doing throughout the week. She follows up on prayer requests and always has a hug when I see her. She makes me feel less lonely in this world! :) #joyin365journey

Day#8
Today's Joy in the journey is truly that...because it started almost 4 years ago.  It is hard to believe that 3 years ago Michael and I were praying and awaiting God's green light on a leading a Co-ed Life Group at Grace.  God had laid it on our hearts to help bridge the gap between NP and  real life groups.  I have been blessed to get to know him over the years and God gave us the green light in September of 2012 to start a co-ed group. The journey was filled with ups and downs...filled with a lot of laughter and tears...2 trips to Mexico City and a lot Indians games along the way. 
I have learned SOOOO much from leading with him over the past year or so... But one of the most powerful lessons I learned from Michael is how to say "No" and it is okay to say "No".  Grateful for his constant reminder over the past 4 years that saying "No" is not only okay it is a necessity!!!
Last New Year's eve was very scary for our LG as Michael had a heart attack.  His Doctor told him to slow down and really focus on his health, and he did great for the first couple months and then not so much.   So it was bittersweet today as Michael announced to our life group that he was stepping down from leadership and our group to focus on his health.   Thankful for Michael and Thankful for the journey! #notforeverjustfornow  #OOLifegroup  #joyin365journey

Day#7 In the past my condo's pipes have frozen and burst.  The fear of those past times sends me into a whirl wind of freaking out.  With all this cold weather I was a little panicked for my renter. Thankful for the people who prayed over my condo in the negative degree weather.  I am so thankful the condo's pipes didn't freeze. Thank you Jesus!
I also got to surprise my Grandma with a visit. She had me laughing talking about the Bible, and how scandalous it can be!  #GrandmaO #Joyin365journey

Day #6

 My Garage door was broke Sunday when I got home around 8pm.  It wasn't able to go up, because the chain had completely come off track and was hanging.  I tried to fix it but wasn't able to get it to come more than half way up.  Yesterday my neighbor came over and it looked to be an easy fix just needed to make some adjustments on the box.  Well, after standing outside in the freezing cold (-9 degees) trying to fix it for a half and hour...we gave up.  He was able to make it go up but it would not stay down.  I say all that to say how thankful and blessed I am that I was able to go inside with a roof over my head and a furnace that works...some are not so fortunate!

Day#5 Thankful that I am part of a church that shares the vision and passion for those that are lost & destroyed...just as I once was. "Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders.
