God has blessed me with a man who can see I am hurting and not know how to fix it...but can lead me to Christ who is the ultimate healer/lover/father!

A day off from working on the house. Spent time with Luke's grandparents and then stopped over his aunt and uncles...a slower pace where we got to relax and converse.
Finished the night off with some hartzler dairy ice cream...mi favorito!

Grateful for an unrushed Thanksgiving Day. Spent the morning with Luke's mom side of the family going on a hike and enjoying a dinner together. All of his mom's siblings were in town, what a blessing!! Enjoy a GF cherry pie my mom made for me! Yep, she loves me, as it was very labor intensive to make the crust.
My little niece wants to be a hair dresser when she grows up she has some style as she did Luke and my Dad's hair. My dad looked like a who from whooville.

Great time serving at Voltage (Where kids bring their parents to learn) They learned about serving and made thanksgiving dessert for a few urban partners and made placemats for them as well.

What a joyful day to meet up with Giliad. The man we met in Mexico City from Israel. We had a great breakfast in Ohio City and a walk through the west side market. We got to hear about his travels the last few months and his plans to finish his masters and possibly come back to the states!

Joy in receiving a 5 gallon bucket of apples from family. Luke and I both like homemade applesauce...so we spent our evening not babysitting making tasty applesauce...all thanks to Joel and Jenny for the apples...and Cindy Zacharias for my all time favorite applesauce recipe...the cranberries make it!!!

Felt the reminder today that smiling at someone can calm a nervous situation. A text can remind me to be grateful. A call can remind me to focus on who I am in God. These people all thought these were small things...but they had a BIG IMPACT on me!!

I am so thankful we have made a commitment to not focus on the house all the time...had a date night tonight planned by yours truly...A little stuffed sweet potatoe with chicken, spinach and garbanzo beans...followed by Pavs creamy and then Marksman.
Thankful for the gift of the new Springfield 45...shout out to Ben!!!
God is teaching us the importance of being present!

Oh I don't like feeling like I was run over by a truck. Fighting a cold...Thankful for the reminder that God had placed me exactly where I am for a reason and I have purpose!!!
Little volleyball fopau this evening didn't even happen during the game it was on the hand shakes...my foot found itself on the bottom of someone else's :)

Sunday Funday!!! Yep, I think sundays bring so much Joy!!! Quiet time, Meetings, Church, Trunk or Treat and dinner with friends.
This year our theme was camping...something easy and great for the weather as we wrapped up in our sleeping bags!!!

Joy in working at the house. Got a lot done but hard to see...got to work along side Luke instead of working on solo projects. Joy in eating in and watching OSU play because we were dead tired!!!

Oh I love my flex Friday's. Even love it more when I get to spend it with Luke. He was going to lose a vacation day if he didn't use it. So we went and had a relaxing breakfast at VCAFE in wadsworth and the visited his Grandparents for a bit. Great way to spend the first part of the day! Worked on tearing out the sofet for awhile as well.

I love communion night. A great time to be in community worshipping God, being humbled, and looking forward to what is next. Love feast was a great time sharing a meal of grilled cheese and tomato basil bisque soup with those we serve alongside!

Joy in knowing God's moving, we listened as Greg and Lisa talked about what is next for our group as Luke and I step down and out of the way at the end of this year.
Group ended early and Luke and I were able to watch my parents play in their skeeball league. Afterwards luke and I tested our skills...a little friendly competition with ice cream on the line...yes I will be enjoying some victory ice cream!!!!!
Day #288
Joy in meeting a friend after a long day of work and then working at the house. A hug, a smile, a coffee, and a restored soul ready for what is next.
Joy in making a decision to tackle something else at the house now, that will help in the long run...but requires more demolition and rebuilding!! Tearing down the fake wall I believe they are called faucets and I am designing a cupboard up there for more space putting things since there isn't a pantry or much cupboard space. Pretty excited about my idea and bringing it to fruition!!!!
