April 15th, 2018

There were lots of first this weekend...

The first time experiencing grass.  He wasn't the biggest fan right away.  He wouldn't crawl in it...He just sat there.

He also got to experience trying to feed himself for the first time.  He made it to his mouth several times...but the spoon was more of a drum stick then an avenue for food.  At one point he used his finger to get it off the spoon and put it in his mouth.

This was the first time he sat still and allowed us to read him a book.  Daddy got to read almost the entire book. 

And Finally it was Little Ephraim's first Cavs' play-off game.  He was all smiles despite the terrible play and home loss.  This might be a short series  :-(  P.s. loving his nap hair

March 18h

Trying to incentives the little guy to crawl to me with the remote and Luke's phone.  Love his facial expression...would love to know what he is thinking!

This was one of the only times this little one was on the ground today.  As we got ready to leave...
Our annual tradition to go to Burton for Pancake Breakfast.  Mr. Ephraim tried pancakes today and he wasn't very impressed, probably because there was no butter or syrup on his. 

He got outside for a hike in the backpack...which I think was the highlight of his day, as anytime this kid is outside he is all giggles and smiles!  He is definitely OUR kid!  Love this little guy to pieces...We say are you cheesin..and this is the face we get

March 16th

Tonight we went to dinner with my parents, Richard and Grandma.  We don't often go to dinner so it was nice to get out and see everyone and catch up!  A nice relaxing evening after a very hectic work week!
Everyone loves Mr. Ephraim, and he loves being the center of attention!

March 11th

Mr. Ephraim has not been sleeping well these days...Naps or at night for Luke and I.  So this photo captures it all.  Ephraim had been fighting a nap for over an hour...and he finally gave in.

March 12th

I absolutely love the bond that my niece has with Luke, it is nothing shy of special.  She adores him, and he challenges her and allows her to be her creative caring self.  We went for a walk and she of course had to be by Uncle Lukey Pants as she likes to call him.  She loves that he named himself Uncle Pants.  It just jives with her imaginative side!  I love that she isn't too old to hold his hand as they go walking in the woods! This picture melts my heart!  

March 3rd

Love and Hugs abounded this weekend for Little Ephraim.  Great Aunt Julie and Great Grandma Moine got to love on him Saturday and then Sunday Aunt Austin an cousin Nora Bean got to love on him some more!  

It was great being with Family this weekend, but it was SUPER nice for both of us to sit on the couch together and read our books while Ephraim took a nap.  

February 25th

What a day...a tad chilly outside in it was only 48.  But we spent a large portion of our day outside.  Went for a walk with Luke and Ephraim.  I LOVE that we live so close to a paved path. 
Then we picked up our niece and nephew and went to the park.  They had a blast! 

We came back home and made Bosco sticks and played with Bristle Blocks and of course B got to build her own pudding cup!  Looks like there might be more cool whip then pudding :-)

My favorite part of the day was watching Brianna try and teach Ephraim how to crawl.  She is so patient and leads by example.  I love it!  

Ephraim LOVES to watch and play with Brianna and Bennett.  Bennett was watching Mickey Mouse club house on his tablet...and Ephraim was climbing on Dad to try and watch with Bennett!  It was adorable!!!  A great Sunday for sure.  Oh and Luke made Raspberrry pancakes for Breakfast!  The Best!  I am loved!!!

Luke and I are both morning people.  I am not sure we know what sleeping in is...we are usually up no later than 7 on the weekend...and that was even before Mister Ephraim.   Morning time is the best time to read with a cup of coffee and a nice warm blanket.  

Ephraim is a morning person too!  He usually wakes up around 5:30am ready to tackle his tough day of learning, playing and exploring.  He is soooo close to crawling and loves to try and pull himself up to stand.  A great way to start the day is with his smiles and laughter!

God offers the ultimate in security.  As we move along this Lenten season.  I am reminded that the "things" that bring us comfort and security are just things they will whither away.  I had a security blanket and it is now just little scraps of almost nothing.  But the security and comfort in knowing who Christ is, and knowing who I AM in Christ is the most freeing feeling.  During this season I have committed to read 1 Corinthians 13 everyday in the NIV and then a different version as well.   I chose this chapter because it reminds me of Christ's love for me...but also how I am supposed to love.  The fruit of my relationship with Christ will be patience, kindness, protection, perseverance, trust, hope...



My decision was inspired by of course our little guy.  At this point in his life.  Mom and Dad are his security along with his 2 favorite blankets.  This little boy loves his blankets.  He gets so excited when you give them to him and he loves when they are touching his face..  I have a feeling he will have these blankets for a very LONG time.  I pray every day while I am holding him that he comes to know Christ in an intimate and passionate way...that Jesus will be his security, that he will be a mighty warrior for God's  kingdom.

January 30th

Some days I rock it out, some days I cry it out.  Yesterday was one of those days!

I am finding it hard to juggle everything...making dinner, getting the little boys bags ready for the next day, feeding him, doing laundry, spending time with Luke and Ephraim, working my day job and then the stuff I bring home, working my extra job, spending time with the lord, reading, investing in people, sharing the gospel with my dad...When my head hits the pillow my brain is usually spinning so fast I can only speak jibberish and then I think this is NOT what the Lord wants for me.

My word of the year is REST...I am not off to a good start...

I love this video of little Ephraim from last night.  It is a great reminder of why God says 2 are stronger than 1.  When I am down...Luke is the one who helps to pick me up and/or lighten my load.  When Ephraim falls over, Luke is there to help him up.  I am so glad that the Lord hand picked Luke to walk this journey with me!

January 21st 2018

It was supposed to rain and one thing I miss is working alongside Luke.  So, today I decided I was GOING to work alongside him.  He was going to cut up some down trees in our backyard for the wood burning stove.  I wanted to help him by picking up the logs and loading them on the 4-wheeler.  And that is exactly what I did with Ephraim on my back.  Ephraim loved being outside, and I loved being able to help Luke bear some of the burden...Win Win for all of us!!!

January 20th, 2018

What a great day!  Kicked off my Beautycounter business today.  Had several ladies over to share what Beautycounter is all about...they were shocked!  The mission is all about spreading the word on safer skin care and personal hygiene items...I decided to get involved because it was a natural progression of eating healthy, to switching to Norwex and not using harsh chemicals to clean, and now skin care products that are safer.  This will also help Luke and I achieve our goal of me working from home in the future.  This is going to be an exciting and wild ride!!!  Check it out  www.Beautycounter.com/kristinjensen

The evening was spent with a great group of people...discussing Emotionally Healthy Spirituality, and challenging one another.  I will be defining my "Rules of Life"  for a trial run during Lent this year along side of the other ladies.  This should be fun!

January 14

Today we celebrated Luke's Birthday at Casa Del Rio with my family!  Brianna got to sit next to her favorite Uncle, Uncle Lukie Pants!

We went back to the house to have Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and Apple Crisp.  There was vanilla ice cream as well.  Haha!

Ms. B LOVES playing with her cousin, and she wants so bad to teach him to crawl.  Yesterday they worked on crawling and she took him for a spin in the sled.  He laughed when she ran down the driveway!  And then he only smiled when she finished!
