Day #115

April 25th

When it feels like you are stuck in a rut...
Going to work everyday...coming home to work on the house...being exhausted...feeling like you are not moving forward...that would be us right now.

So, we decided that it would be no T.V. Tuesday...This not only entails no T.V. but it also means no work around the house.

Instead we looked into a mini camping trip in May before the baby...Looked into a mini camping trip after the baby with my family, did a little duolingo, and talked about the sermon from the week and how we wanted to guide the conversation at our small group.  ALL while enjoying a small fire outside.

Change of place and pace makes for a restored heart!!!

Day #111

April 21

Long days!  Up at 4:40am and home at 11:15pm...Makes for a sore body!
BUT Greg's shower is finished and in 7 days he can take a shower!  Spent the evening grouting his tub surround...Took me a long time and I needed assistance to get it done in a couple hours.  We enjoy investing time at Greg's house because we know that he is going to turn around and use his house to invest in other people!

Breakfast with our new place-mats before heading to church!

Brianna made us Place-mats that say Peace, Joy, Love, Happy!  She has a heart for people!

Day #112

April 22nd

Today my heart is filled with Joy.  This is what the weekend is about.  Luke and I had sometime in the morning to practice our Spanish together.  Followed by being outside all day working together!  We built a tiered strawberry patch together with the help of my niece...who spent the day helping and being on adventure!


Grilled Cheese and Tomato Basil Soup...with a side of Hot Cocoa since it was a tad chilly outside!

These kiddos LOVE Uncle Luke!

April 18th,

There are lots of phrases about change...

Embrace change.
The out of the ordinary can be extraordinary!
Be the change you want to see!
Change is an Adventure!
If you don't like something change it, if you can't change it, change your attitude!
Progress is impossible without change, and those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything!
Sometimes it is the smallest decisions that can change your life forever!

Two men set out this evening to change the world???  to change someone's life??? to change the color of the front door??  (someone else's front door)

In the process they themselves were changed...

"It made me realize the value of Fuchsia!"

"Bonds are born in the arms of Mischief!"

Day #106

April 16th

Resurrection Sunday!  The morning was beautiful...we spent it outside talking and soaking in vitamin D!  We might have also plotted out the deck we would like to install with the wood we gathered last year off of Craigslist!

We ended our day with being silly and carefree...Luke thinks that he is funny, and I tend to agree!

Day #105

April 15th,

Today is a BIG DAY!!!
It is Greg's Birthday
It is the first real work day for me at Greg's House
It is Easter Service at Grace!!!!

I haven't been able to work at Greg's because they have been painting and priming and painting and priming constantly over at his house.  This weekend I was able to tile his shower for him.  Waiting for it to dry...so I can grout it but it shouldn't be long before he has a working shower!!!

We went to Easter Service tonight with my Parents.  A great message on having to make a decision.  Either you take the leap of Faith that you believe Jesus Died, was buried, and was raised 3 days later...or you take a leap of Faith that He was just a good man.  Either way it is a leap!!!

Praise Jesus that He "Called me out of the grave" and that "I am set Free"

Day #99

April 9th

This little girl, is missing her two front teeth!  But she is ready to take off and change the World!  And I do not doubt that she will!

What time is it?  Time to pray for my favorite cousin, KristinA.  This watch has a lot of meaning, and I can't think of a better reminder to pray for her than this watch!

Day #98

April 8th

What a fun day at home.  Luke and I cleaned and cooked and prepared to host "Family" Easter at our house! With a side surprise Birthday celebration for Greg.  What a whirl wind of a day!

Cleaning our puzzle off the kitchen table so we could all eat.  A great idea to put on our card table.  Although then it didn't fit through any of our doorways!  LOL  This was me getting told to put the phone down and help him.  I couldn't stop laughing.  After it got put in the bedroom most of what we had put together is no more  :-(

We decided to smoke the pork tenderloins for dinner.  Someone had a little too much fun with the smoker!

The gang is all here to enjoy dinner and time together!  These peeps are some of the most important people in our journey with Christ! 

These guys all helped put into action Luke's plan to put the wood burning stove in the basement.   I think the only one who believed in the plan was Luke.  I spent my time praying...and worrying someone was going to get hurt.  It worked...no hernia's and no broken bones.  The stove is in the basement.  Why do I doubt my husband??

Happy Birthday to this guy!  We each got to ask him a question he had to answer...What are you afraid of in the coming year, Where do you want to grow the most in the coming year, etc.  Excited to see where God takes him on his journey...

Day #94

April 4th

There is peace in and rest in the Quiet!  

I am used to listen to NPR on the way to work, to catch up on the news...But for the past 2 weeks I have abandoned NPR and embraced the silence.

April 1st
Rabbit Rabbit

What do you do on April 1st when your home alone for 2 hours?  Easy...you turn on the sappy hallmark channel and you make Churro Bowls for ice cream.  This is the first time I have ever fried something...I was very nervous I was going to catch the house on fire!
We had some steak and cheesy potatoes at Ben's house...Always thankful for Ben who opens his doors and his table for us.
