Vacation Day to clean the house and prep it for moving day...Also had the Nat Gas plumber and Internet guy come out! I am thankful for Mindy suggesting the Nat Gas plumber he was super nice and charged us 63% less then the other quotes I received! I am ready for the crazy day ahead!

Day #49
There is something about craving spiritual community AND being around your Lady friends! I started a little book club because I love reading, and I love discussing books. Last August I read Seven and I highly recommend it! The author Jen Hatmaker also wrote For the Love which is currently her most recent book. I haven't read a Christian author that is as funny, as honest, and no holds bar as her! I laugh/ I cry/ I analyze...
So, the three ladies I used to lead a study with (Leigh Ann, Rebecca, & Jenna) are joining me on this journey and I asked 3 other lovely ladies to join me. Lisa who I used to lead Life Group with, Joanna a dear friend and Kari, Luke's cousin who I am so glad I am getting to know better.
Fighting for Grace in a World of Impossible Standards. TONS stuck out but we talked a lot about the Life Balance. Does Life Balance actually exist, have any of us ever been there, what needs to change in our lives to move in that direction...or is Life Balance like a Unicorn. Everyone talks about it, and thinks they are awesome...but no one has ever truly seen one!

There is Joy in losing all 10 frames at Skeeball! Yes, because we can laugh, because we can get frustrated, because we can learn, because it can only get better??? The realization that we were not meant to be the best at everything, and somethings are more about people investment then anything else! For this reason a lone I would do Skeeball league all over again!

I have been told over and over that...Laughter is the best Medicine :-) I am not sure it is the best medicine...but it certainly is good for the soul! I am thankful for time to laugh and relax (and maybe eat a little ice cream)

Day #45
Today is Valentine's Day! Thankful for the relaxing day together! It was perfect. Church...Lunch with a friend...cards with his grandparents (we lost both games of ROOK) and then making pizza together. Best day by far in a long time. It was busy but refueling...and I am thankful days like these where we can invest the best of us into people and each other...rather than our worn out selves.

Last day to work at the house...and sometimes God has different plans...where he would like us to rest and restore. Sometimes HE pushes the pause button. Thankful that HE determines my steps and plans...Spent the evening in bed with a migraine that would not go away after taking my meds.

31 He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. 32 Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches.”

13 Later that same day Jesus left the house and sat beside the lake. 2 A large crowd soon gathered around him, so he got into a boat. Then he sat there and taught as the people stood on the shore. 3 He told many stories in the form of parables, such as this one:

A farmer went out to plant some seeds. 4 As he scattered them across his field, some seeds fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate them. 5 Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn’t have deep roots, they died. 7 Other seeds fell among thorns that grew up and choked out the tender plants. 8 Still other seeds fell on fertile soil, and they produced a crop that was thirty, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted! 9 Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand.”
10 His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you use parables when you talk to the people?”
11 He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets[a] of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not. 12 To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have an abundance of knowledge. Going Down...yes we did! Played my Dad's team in skeeball and we lost all 10 frames :( BUT we had fun...and sharing time together is the reason we do it!!!

Joy in receiving Direct Deposit over night...after my account for direct deposit was set up wrong, and the check mailed and lost! Liz is awesome!!

Vision Nights begin!!! The seed project...17, 2 hour events sharing the direction for Grace church's 30 in 30...2 out of 17 done...Joy in working alongside my friend!

Adventure...drive surprise...Joy in not knowing what is next....Joy in laughing at how silly we look!!!
At every red light or stop sign we flipped a coin to decide left or right...at every highway exit we flipped a coin to decide to stay on or get off...
