God has blessed me with a man who can see I am hurting and not know how to fix it...but can lead me to Christ who is the ultimate healer/lover/father!

It is not always roses and cherries. There are hard days where my heart is heavy and hurts and I don't know why?? One of those days. When finding Joy in a day like this seems impossible it is then that I remember It is not about me...
I received a call today..."just want to say thanks for being a witness in my life and showing me who Jesus was again...thanks for allowing me to witness in your life"
It is not about me, and that in and of itself is JOY!

A day off from working on the house. Spent time with Luke's grandparents and then stopped over his aunt and uncles...a slower pace where we got to relax and converse.
Finished the night off with some hartzler dairy ice cream...mi favorito!

Christmas Day is here...Christ is Born...and we celebrate God's love for us!!
So blessed to spend it all together. Glad Mike was able to be part of the family today!

Our last night of life group...thankful for these wonderful people who are passionately pursuing Christ and willing to admit they fail everyday! I will miss not seeing them weekly but the friendships will continue on for a lifetime!

Tonight is our final life group night. We were designed to be in community and spent time focusing on what God views as community. Grateful for the experience over the years. I have come away changed!

Thankful for the time to shop with my brother...even if we didn't really get anything. Thankful for the time to work on the house during the day. Had a great afternoon/evening sharing Thanksgiving day #2 with Luke's Dad's side of the family. Grateful for the time catching up with Luke's cousins!

Grateful for an unrushed Thanksgiving Day. Spent the morning with Luke's mom side of the family going on a hike and enjoying a dinner together. All of his mom's siblings were in town, what a blessing!! Enjoy a GF cherry pie my mom made for me! Yep, she loves me, as it was very labor intensive to make the crust.
My little niece wants to be a hair dresser when she grows up she has some style as she did Luke and my Dad's hair. My dad looked like a who from whooville.

The day before Thanksgiving allows our life group a chance to eat dinner together and catch up. Thankful for the friendships that God has placed in my life! So glad Lily and Joel could join us!

Thankful for the laughter of my devotion. My brother has always told me to use my words...it irritated me. Now as adults we can laugh about it...But how are my words impacting people's lives, am I encouraging?, am I comforting?, am I truthful?, am I loving?, etc.
