Thankful for Matt's help on the house today. We were able to prep the area for the beam, and work on some of the electric and baseboards.
Thankful that I feel the weight of my sin and for God's unending grace.

Oh how good it is to see old friends. Had breakfast and some visit time with Sean and Hannah as they were in town from Colorado. Thankful to introduce them to Luke and get a great big hug from Lennon!!!

Day #174
Thankful for my friend Crystal Bennis. Every year at soccer camp I miss monday night because of volleyball...and every Monday she fills my role. Miss seeing her all the time because she now goes to another campus, but God is good.
Thankful my dad pulled the trigger on purchasing a new car...and that is one stresser that will go away. He still isn't feeling normal and has several doctors appointments this week.

What a great day with Luke's family. Went to church in Rittman and had a Father's day picnic. Wish I had pictures buy I left my phone at home. As always enjoyed catching up. In the meantime here is a fun photo from draw free a game I play with his grandma...can you guess my awesome drawing???

Day #172
Blessed to have great friends!!! Hannah, MoJo, Duane, Greg, Matt, Jim, and Lisa came to help work on the house. We got so much accomplished because of these awesome peeps!
* Shower is plumbed and ready to go
*All the plaster and trash is in the bagster
*Hostas are dug up and area is ready for excavation.
*All the brush and wood has been burned
*Carpet removed from the last bedroom along with all the nails
*Temporary wall is up
*Door has been put on garden fence
*Utility tub was busted out and new one put together and installedd
*Old wire pulled from bathroom
Bathroom is ready for electric and drywall.
*Gutters on garage cleaned
All in a short days work
Day #171
Thankful for my new workout dvds. I lost my 21 day fix dvds. Struggled for several weeks without having a good workout routine. So glad I spent the money on the extreme pack and can get back into a routine

Down pour. Yep we picked up the beam in Massillon, Picked up tile for the bathroom floor...A utility tub, and backslash for the bathroom. The backslash was on clearance but there wasn't enough for the kitchen :( Thankful even though it poured rain and the truck was soaked om the inside..we could laugh and have a good time

Wait for it...Dad went to the doctor and his carotid artery is 100% blocked. He was admitted to the hospital. So the stroke in his eye revealed a big risk for more strokes. He was put on blood thinners and some other meds to help prevent another stroke. Without the stroke and blindness in his eye...he could have had a major stroke and not be here... celebrating in the hospital

Rough day today. My dad was diagnosed with a stroke in his eye and is now blind in his right eye...you might wonder why there is Joy in that...wait for it...
Enjoyed dinner with mom, dad, luke, and brad...getting to pray for my father and praise God for the protection we can not see.
We celebrated life with Honey Hut prior to the cavs big loss :(

Thankful for the joy of celebrating Hannah, Mom, Uncle Johnny, and Mike ' s life together at Whiteys. Time spent together is always a blessing!

Day #166
Thankful for all the help pulling together my mom's bday party and father's day. Luke helped me get the food together and cooked the steaks...everybody brought a side dish. Made some yummy homemade ice cream for my mom.
Thankful for the mexico city team and there willingness to work on their spanish and their getting to know each other.

Amazing/busy/tiring day!!!! Helped a friend move into her new apartment. Went to a bridal shower. And worked on the house...Got almost all the furniture and stuff on the main floor moved into the garage. Carpet tore up in a bedroom, the shower is plumbed and ready to go. We are making steps forward!! Thankful for Greg and his help!!!

Blessed to have my mom, as my mom. She is very sacrificial and has really taught me to put others before me. Today is her Birthday and I am glad she is my mom!!!

Thankful for the downtime with Luke. We made a delicious meal and watched the cavs game just the two of us at his house. I emphasis this because usually we watch them with my parents, at applebees, or with friends. Thankful the Finals are on abc and the antenna works great.

Thankful for all the ladies in life group...as they were all willing to share their blind spots in life, current and or past. So thankful that people feel comfortable enough!!!

So thankful to save $100 on lumber for the house. Found a guy on Craigslist who had new 2x6's and 2x4's that were 16 feet long. Got all the wood we need to build a temporary wall so we can put in a load bearing beam. Thankful to Ben for giving us the plans!!!!

Day #160
So thankful for Luke. We planned on working at the house before volleyball...but I didn't really think to long or hard about what we were going to have for dinner. But Luke brought corn and steak for us to grill...thankful for his planning and heart!!!

Busy day hopping from thing to thing but Thankful for MoJo in Luke and I's life. They challenge us spiritually, and are like a breathe of fresh air!!! I truly enjoy our time together.

Garage sales are super fun...getting to find treasure amongst some bodies unwanted items. Was able to get a tool belt for myself and a post hole digger for 10 dollars. Yep...these are things I buy right now!!!

Day #139- 155
I hate to do this but it is a catch up post.
Finding Joy in sooo much:
●Helping Austen & Erik side their house several days
●Laughed a ton playing volleyball late into the night and connected as a team
● Getting things done on the house...progress
●Basement flooded, call to action and possibly ruined the furnace but might mean plumbing to gas soon instead of oil!!
●Jesus calming my anxiety over the cost of this housing project
● Watching my niece for a day
● Mom's hand surgery going well
●A couple new opportunities to move forward
● Indians game with Austen and Erik
●Saw the spine specialist and he has a plan of attack to help soften the pain
●Luke and i played Kube with my Mom and Dad
●Had a picnic with Luke's family
●Visited with his Grandparents and got some home grown vegetables for our garden
● Committed to going back to Mexico this August
● Had a life group picnic where an old coworker of mine joined us!!!
● Beautiful art work from Tara Detscreek for the Global Expo and ultimately for our partners in Mexico
●Laughter and good steaks and time with friends at Ben's house
●Jesus making it very apparent how far I am from Him and giving me desire to be IN a relationship with Him
●Helped a friend out by house sitting for her while they were out of the country
● Walked around the neighborhood with a god friend and her new puppy
●Finished 21 day fix workout series and loved it....lost my dvds in the mean time :(
●Served at a vision night at the church...helping people sign in to hear about where Grace is going
●Life group prayed for Brad and Mindy and Baby Bennett on the phone while they were in the hospital...as he tried to enter this world early...Jesus calmed the fears and uncertainty in their heart!!
