There is something about turning 40 and surprise parties!!  My SIL just had her birthday and my brother threw her a surprise party, which had all her favorite foods and people.  But there were no decorations, no colored plates, no balloons, no table clothes... 
For anyone else this might have been okay, but Mindy loves decorations.  She always goes over the top for the kids, for my Dad's surprise 70th, etc.  So we had to throw her a dinner party and at least hang a Happy Birthday sign!  Thank you for always going over the top!
